Recommend a hand blender?

I'm looking for a hand blender with a mini-chopper attachment so that I can make soup and chop onions. Can anyone recommend one?

A friend said that Bosch was good but I'd be grateful for a second opinion!

I've had a couple of cheap ones (£15 - £20) which broke so I don't mind paying up to say £50.

Thanks!

Kenwood make a good one - mine always been very reliable. Has a mini little food processor attachment if your mean a chopper??

I think both mine have been Kenwoods and have been fine (although the jug bit on my latest one has a crack in it). I only have two because I upgraded to a stainless steel one with chopper attachment, but the fact it's metal makes me squeamish about using it in my non-stick pans (make a lot of soup) so my advice would be to stick to plastic!

Thanks, both!

Just bought a phillips hand blender for making purees for 6 month old dd. Twas reduced in the Argos sale, paid around £25, should have been about £30. It has a puree blade and also a chopper attachment, plus 2 containers for pureeing/chopping in. Haven't used the chopper yet but it's great for the purees.
