Although I am cooking the full Christmas lunch on the big day, I have now found out that I also have to cook another meal on Boxing Day when everyone gets backs from watching footie. Have no idea what to cook so what are you all having as it may give me some ideas for which I will be truly grateful!

I would just do a big pan of homemade soup or chilli, nice bread, cheese, cold meat etc.

Personally though, I would like bubble and squeak and HP sauce, followed by warm mince pies and cream.

Roast lamb with garlic and rosemary, dauphinoise and braised red cabbage. We always have another proper lunch on Boxing Day!

Thanks everyone. Been away watching Strictly. I'm leaning towards the buffet idea too. Baked spuds with leftover meat and various salad type things.

Have 9 adults and 1 child on Boxing Day.

At DH's request I am serving pie, wedges and peas Will be followed by mince pies and cream and a cheese board. And accompanied by much wine.

Last year I did a big chilli and crusty bread.

In teh past I have done the buffet option but found it way more time consuming and it always costs a fortune.

arisHOHOHOcat · 19/12/2009 23:23

noooo

always always cold turkey and 'real' chips!

tis a tradition

lambanana · 20/12/2009 13:10

yep always bubble and squeak with roast ham and brown sauce.

followed later in the evening by cheese, crackers and pickled onions.

ChrisMissWooWoo · 21/12/2009 17:43

roast beef ... if I don't get scuppered by the snow otherwise it'll have to be a WW frozen meal or fish fingers!
