How best to store home-made choc fudge?

I made a batch of Nigella's Choc and Pistachio Fudge last night - very yum! Am planning on giving some to a couple of friends tonight (early xmas pressie) and some to a family we're seeing on Boxing Day. Was thinking of putting the fudge for friends tonight in the fridge and the fudge for boxing day in the freezer - is this best? Both sets are in airtight containers. Also, would I have to defrost the frozen batch?

i'm sure nigella said you can keep this fudge in the freezer and can eat it straight from the freezer...

otherwise fridge would be fine. I made some it and i think it's FABULOUS!

oooh I made this too for presents. I'm keeping it in the freezer. Yes it is very yum! Not really a fudgy texture but still yum all the same
Nigella say eat it straight from the freezer like ja9 says

Thanks guys - god it's sad that we are on the net at 7.30 on a Saturday morning! Anyway, I shall keep the Boxing day lot in the freezer and just box it up from frozen, but do you think the batch for tonight will be ok in the fridge? And how should I tell the recipients to store it at home?

thanks all. Riven, here is the recipe CHOCOLATE PISTACHIO FUDGE NIGELLA

350g dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa solids), chopped
1 x 397g can condensed milk
30g butter
pinch salt
150g pistachios
Serving Size : Makes 64 pieces of rich fudge

  1. Put the chopped chocolate, condensed milk, butter and salt in a heavy-based pan on a low heat, and stir to melt.
  2. Put the nuts into a freezer bag and bash them with a rolling pin, until broken up into both big and little pieces.
  3. Add the nuts to the melted chocolate and condensed milk and stir well to mix.
  4. Pour and spatch this mixture into a foil tray 23cm square, smoothing the top.
  5. Let the fudge cool, and refrigerate until set. You can then cut it into small pieces approx.
  6. 3 x 2.25cm. Cutting 8 x 10 lines in the tin to give 64 pieces best achieves this.
  7. Once cut, it can be kept in the freezer ? no need to thaw just eat straight away.

It says it makes 64 pieces but I made about 45. it's easy and delish!
