hi, hope you guys can help, after reading the roast potato debate i saw some people make roasties and freeze them then put them straight in the oven from frozen. How does that work, do you parboil and freeze or roast lightly and freeze?
Also....what other xmas day food could be made in advance to save the work on the day?

I get all veg ready the day before. peel and chop carrots, parnips, potatoes (leave in water and they're fine) etc. Cauliflower cheese freezes well, so does red cabbage. what are you cooking?

I'm seriously thinking of making reservations at a local Indian restaurant. That'll be in advance Sorry not helpful to you OP. Hope you get some more sensible advice.

I cook my turkey on Xmas Eve, slice it then re-heat Xmas Day

I peel anything that can be peeled the day before - and I'm the one that doesn't parboil my roasties either, so that's another job I don't have to worry about. .

I hate turkey, so am having slow cooked roast lamb, which is just dead easy to do and you don't have to worry about the timings being spot on or poisoning your guests etc. So Christmas morning will be nice and relaxing for me!
