Chips with no chip pan/fryer-is it even possible?

I have potatoes, I have an oven, and I have oil.

Can I make chips with these three things, or will I just get small roast potatoes?

You'll get potato wedges if you cut them thick or chips if you cut them thinner. They're not going to be swimming in fat like deep fried ones but I like them, they taste nicer IMO.

I wouldn't have a fryer, they smell

leave the skins on and brush with a little oil and make wedges in the oven? Not sure about the chips tho, sorry hun I've never tried.

peel and cut potatoes into chips, boil for 5 mins max, drain and allow to steam/cool for 15 mins. put back in a dry pan and shake to rough up the edges.

spray with frylight, or coat with oil and bung in a hot oven for about 30 mins, turning and shaking occasionally. yummy!

I always make chips like with just those three things. Cut the potatoes into chip shapes. Put them on a baking tray. Drizzle them with oil, then shake them around a bit so that they're well covered. Sprinkle with salt if you like, whack them in the oven for half an hour (if they're small-ish) and 40 mins if they're chunkier. That's it. Delicious. It'll be obvious if they're cooked sooner (they'll look brown) or if they're not ready (they'll be a bit stuck to the tray)

I always roast my chips and they taste much better than fried and less greasy.
