Serving a ham hot/warm?

This could be the most irritating question about ham yet on MN this week...

In the past when I have roasted a ham I have always served it cold for buffets etc. I know this is a really, really, really dense question, but do people serve it warm, as in hot from the oven as well? If so, what would you serve it with? What sort of sauce would you have?

We have friends coming over a couple of days before Christmas so I want to do a festive meal but not Christmas dinner. Woulod ham served warm with potatoes dauphionoise be really, really wierd? Just trying to think of a way so that it wont be too dry and my mind is blank!

I do a whole ham studded with cloves and with a honey mustard glaze. I boil it and then roast.

Then just serve it as a normal roast, gravy, roast potatoes etc. It would be lovely with dauphionoise though, but I would still do some gravy from the meat juices to serve on the meat itself.
