no

I use the microwave to defrost frozen food leftovers for my lo's e.g. bolognese sauce, cheese sauce, etc. I also use it to reheat and to cook things like baked potatoes.

Yes, kills all nutrients and makes food radioactive

No, not really - obviously, just could not resist, sorry !!

It can be better to nutrients as some things cook quicker.
Bigger problem is that it tends to give "hot spots", so alwyas stir/shake well after nuking food - I am sure you know that already...

er, no!

That's rather like asking if cooking freshly prepared foods by ANY means kills all nutrients.

No. It kills bacteria and viruses. All nutrients are preserved.

Microwaves are the best way of preparing healthy veg. More nutrients are preserved by microwaving than boiling or steaming, because there is less water for the nutrients to leach out into (ever noticed that water you've boiled carrots in is always a bit orange? Even water you've steamed broccoli in goes green). And it preserves more nutrients than roasting, frying or grilling, because it takes less time (and also uses less fat).

oh wow thanks for that feel so much better!!!
was under impression it nuked everything for want of speed!!
