Do they really work? can you wash them OK in the dishwasher?
Thanks for help!

Not exactly muffin cases, but I have two bread tins in silicone, and they're great. They do go in the dishwasher, but I don't think they come out very clean, they need a bit of a scrub on top.

I've had a mini muffin one for a couple of years and it's great, so easy to get the muffins out and easy to clean as there's not much residue normally left behind. I usually wash it myself because it isn't very dirty but I think it can go in the dishwasher.

yes and yes, no sticking, no messy greasing. genius. bon appetit.

i have a set inc cases, cake tins, etc. Seem to work fine and are fine in dishwasher.

I have some fairy cake ones which I have concluded are the invention of Satan because they're so fiddly to wash up and it's not as if the paper ones are expensive. They kind of make more sense in bigger sizes.

They work IMO. BUT do impress on your DC's with great importance that if they have a silicone-cased muffin in packed lunch, the case needs to come home. Or have half a brain and take the muffin out first.

I started with 12 but have fewer every batch

Should probably treat myself to a silicone muffin pan .

I had kind of thought along the same lines as 12 ft Kathy!, so won't be investing! Pity, as the book people have a cake and silicone combo which looked interesting.
