I've got four of them in my fruit bowl staring at me balefully and I don't have a clue what to do with them - don't even know which bits are edible (I think I've only ever had them in juice before )

I had one for the first time last week
I cut it in half and kind of poked the seeds out. Once you get a few out you can tear the skin and the rest are easier to get at. Someone else might have a better method, but that worked for me!

The pithy bits round the seeds are quite bitter so avoid those.

cut then in half and pick out the seeds with a needle and eat.

YUM

you just eat the juicy seed from inside pop into a bowl and eat away yummy just a pain getting out lol

you take them back to the shop and ask do they have the seeds in a ready prepared pack, please.

Break open and pick out seeds, avoid 'skin' between the pips. They are lovely in salads or just stuff them in your mouth in handfulls!

I lived in Granada (which means 'pomegranate' in Spanish)in the South of Spain for nearly 20 years so I should really be able to come up with a recipe...

There are plenty of recipes, have just googled it but mostly in Spanish...

Salad of lambs lettuce, salmon and pomegranate pips looks good...

cut in half, tear a bit and crumble seeds out. should take about 2 mins per fruit, or about 15mins if you let the toddler do it!

my all time fav:

pomegranite seeds, crumbled feta, & rocket salad. lovely with baked spuds or in wraps.

This a fruit to be eaten on a chilly Sunday evening in front of the telly, when you have nothing else to do.

Please be prepared with some kitchen towels for mopping juice as we always end up stickier than seems possible.

Nigella does a lovely red onion and pomegranate relish.
