and if so how???

Apart from running each leaf carefully under the tap, I'm stumped!

My waitrose packaged coriander was covered in green fly

They are a bugger, very hard to shift.
I would take it back but you probably need it now, do you?
Pick them off?

Or weight the coriander down in a bowl of water

BiscuitStuffer · 09/10/2009 20:23

I ran it under the tap as best I could - should the packaged ones be bug free and ready to use?

Quite frankly I don't bother....and I don't wash strawberries etc......DS, DH & I are still here.......

Prunerz · 09/10/2009 20:24

Well yes, bug free is sort of the least I expect in my food tbh!

QueensShilling · 09/10/2009 20:24

.......opppppssss....didn't see green fly was involved

Soak in salted water it kills the bugs and they drop off.

Then rinse

We grow a lot of our own herbs , so yes we do wash them as they often have bugs.

Packet ones are usually bug-free though (I always buy coriander )
