If you had to buy burgers from the supermarket, rather than make your own, for a variety of very dull reasons I won't go into...

...where would you get them from? We were at a friends bbq last week and theirs were from Morrisons and they were completely devoid of any taste whatsoever, so i'm thinking, not Morrisons. Or are they all the same? No butchers near me either, gah.

Does anyone know of any half-decent supermarket beef burgers they would serve at their bbq?

thanks

Interesting you should say that slarty,as i will be getting the asda Extra Special sausages for the bbq, as they are really really nice. Must try the burgers as well.

Morrisons do a really nice one stuffed with cheese. I go to a local butchers who makes fantastic tasting burgers and i just stick a blob of stilton in the middle and they are scrummy

If you just need to make something quickly and haven't got the time to do the whole breadcrumb thing, try these.

Good quality mince
Large squeeze of ketchup
Generous amount of oregano (either fresh or dried)

Mix together and mould into small burgers/meatballs.

These are so yummy and they are incredibly quick to do. The ketchup acts as the binding agent, they won't come apart on the BBQ, and also oozes out a little to marinade the outside. You could add salt and pepper, but I don't think you need to if you use good quality mince.
