I need a recipe for a baked chocolate cheesecake type job, and it needs to be brown chocolate not white .

Got anything in your cookery books, MN-ers?

No recipes im afraid but didnt want your post to go unanswered.

Im thinking though if you have a recipe for a white chocolate cheesecake, there should be no reason why you can't subsitute milk chocolate? If only that it may not look quite as appetising possibly?

ok
900g cream cheese
190g caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs
200g dark choc

base
200g digestive biscuits
2 tbps cocoa powder
150g unsalted butter, melted

23cm tin

150c/300f/gas 2

Process base ing all tog and put into base

cheese/sugar/vanilla into mixer and mix. Then add one egg at a time and mix.
don't over mix.

melt chocolate. Add little bit of cheese mix to chocolate and then add it all back into mixer and mix. Should even out temperatures.

Spoon into tin ontop of biscuit.

Put into tray and fill tray with 2/3 water around cheesecake tin.
Bake for about 40 minutes.

Should be wobbly but slightly set. Tastes better the following day once it's been in the fridge overnight.

Think this is all.

See here uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/571515, it's white chocolate but substitute milk/dark. It's a Mary Berry so foolproof..... You could marble it as well, using milk & dark and swirling with a skewer.

Thank you all for these, I shall experiment and report back.
