I have a 2 year old, 8 mth old, and me and hubby to feed, so at the moment I'm cooking separate 'lumpy baby food' for the littlest, with my eldest eating pretty much the same as us (although complicated by me now doing weight watchers!).
I usually give my son sandwiches for lunch, then we can eat together, and his dinner is usually a portion of what we had the night before = pasta and sauce, goulash and rice, curry and rice etc.
Depending on how your little one eats, I find it easier to give my toddler finger foods/light lunches so that he can sit in his chair and feed himself whilst I feed/bf the baby and myself. This way we have lunch together but it's relatively low maintenance yet healthy.
Things that you can reheat in the microwave are the way to go, instead of grilling things for 20 mins at a time. Bags of the steam fresh veg are handy, to serve with things like omelette, fish cakes (you can make batches of A Karmel fish/veggie cakes, which can be frozen then simply reheated)- I get the one with carrot/green beans and brocolli, as it's ideal finger food.
On the more difficult days, I've even been known to give him a bowl of porridge for lunch, if he's had toast for brekkie. I reason that it's only reversing the order!
Good luck, congratulations on the new baby. Enjoy your little ones, it gets easier and is great fun!
