Does anyone have a Kenwood Patissier

I have made several attemps to save up for a Kitchen Aid, but I've never quite got there! Closest was after last christmas in the sales, but on the way to the kitchen dept on the 3rd floor, I was distracted by the shoe dept on the 1st floor, and that was the end of the kitchen aid.

But I came across theKenwood Patissier today, and it looks lovely, so wondered if anyone has one. Costs about half as much as the KA.

I don't do really heavy duty baking - just batches of cookies, fairy cakes, brown bread.

Any advice?

I have a Kenwood chef from the 70's - £50 from ebay - it's great

Have to admit podrick I'm very shallow, and like the retro look of the patissier, similar to the kitchen aid.

Kenwood chefs are real warhorses aren't they, both MIL and my aunt have 70's ones still going strong!

bumping for you
I think the kitchen aid has groovy looks but I have other stuff I would sooner buy for the money! Will yours be on permanent display in your kitchen?

Yes, was thinking of the red, thought it would cheer me up on the grey, rainy days of summer that seem to be ahead!

I've got a cream one. I like it very much and it looks rather lovely in the kitchen.
You can't do anything too heavy duty in it as it strains a bit, but normal family baking etc is absolutely fine. Have made bread it in with no problem.

It looks lovely but it doesn't have the ability to add all the various attachments that the KA has (and which I have but never use ). Looks perfect for baking though.

It is very pretty, but for the money I'd buy a Chef - the stainless steel one is pretty cool, and they are incredibly sturdy, and have lots of attachment options.

Thanks Katisha, I really just want something pretty for everyday baking

If you're happy with yours that's good enough for me!

I have a magimix processor, which does all the chopping, etc, so this is purely for baking.

Thanks for all the advice

I'm selling a Kenwood Chef, used twice, white, has the spatter guard and the mixing attachment, for £75 plus post if you're interested?
