Do you think alot of the nutrients are lost from veggies when cooked and then 'hidden'

Suely there can't be many nutrients left when cooked in a tomato sauce then blended?

I was going to add courgette to my tomato sauce and then thought - why bother? It ends up just like little green bits of stuff.

dunno, i think if you cook it IN the sauce then the nutrients are still in it aren't tehy?

if you boil it the nutrients get lost in the watyer you chuck away. but if you're doing it in the sauce it would be fine

um no it's still there just because it's blended.

why would it be any different to cooking it any other way?

I always add courgette, carrots etc to pizza/pasta sauce, just to try and up how many vegetables we eat.

I think part of the health benefits of veg is the fibre that bulks out your poo (sorry TMI). This is very much reduced if blended.

Vitamins/minerals still there though.
