Is there anywhere I can buy this? I've looked everywhere! Or can I just break spaghetti up into tiny bits and fry it?

Try conchiligetti or something like that in Sainsburys. Very tiny pasta. Also, try searching the archives. Lots there about baby pasta.

I think the best bet is picking bits out of tinned ministrone soup, it is a long process but well worth it

Don't bother with the pasta, save your time and money and just give them the whisky neat.

TheVillageIdiot · 25/04/2005 09:42

Personally I find the best way to cook baby pasta is by saving the dripping from your roasting dish then fry the baby pasta in dripping, adding a bit of lard gives a lovely slippery texture for babe to squidge between fingers on way to mouth.

The one rule I follow for feeding babe is "Fry Everything"

WigWamBam · 25/04/2005 09:44

Frying everything's a bit of a faff, though. Melting Mars Bars in the microwave is quick and simple.

Think you should be making your own tbh. Shocked that any mother would even consider giving their precious shop bought pasta.

no baby pasta - pah - let them eat cake

My HV said that frying isn't a good idea, but now I've read on MN that it is, I'll definitely be doing it! Cheers, wise MNetters!

maddiemo · 25/04/2005 09:52

Always serve your deep fried baby pasta with Turkey Twizzlers. They are an ideal finger food.

SOOOOO glad you started this thread, I've been wanting to ask this for ages. {{{{hugs}}}}

codnobblin · 25/04/2005 10:07

Should I boil the pasta before I fry it? I'll probably break into pieces first because it will be easier to boil then. Too slimy to break up afterwards.

Parenting is very hard sometimes. All these decisions!

I would chuck it all in the bin and get yourself down to MaccyDs
