freezing fresh chickens

i normally buy fresh chickens from the farmers market and freeze them to use later. this week sainsbos had free range for cheap so i ordered 2, planning to bung them in the freezer. but they don't have the little "freezable" mark that most of the other fresh meat does.

the only reason i can think they're not freezable is if they've already been frozen - does that sound very likely for "fresh" chickens? wouldn't they be specifically marked as such?

i have other meals planned for the next couple of days with perishable ingredients so i don't want to use them till after their use-by-date. i know you can freeze cooked chicken, but i was only going to roast them, not convinced a roast chick would defrost/reheat well.

pleeeeeeeease tell me i can still freeze them?

thanks mamag. just phoned them, the guy looked the chicks up oline and said they've got the freezable symbol on there so it must be right anyway, happy to take chances with food poisoning on word of callcentre teen, so they're in the freezer
