Healthy cereal for DCs

DD (3.8) has gone off ready brek/porridge. She loves Cheerios but I have been told they are one of the worst cereals.

Any suggestions on what to give which would also suit DS (18m)?

I am a Cheerios sinner too but we also use Weetabix and Rice Krispies which I think are meant to be better!

Weetabix has been vetoed by her. Rice Krispies an option though. Are they better?

My friend who is very good at all the healthy stuff seems to think so.

Just looked at boxes..
Per 30g with 125ml s-s milk
Cheerios (well Asda own brand of it) Sodium 0.15g, Rice Snaps 0.2g but both have the same salt equilevent.

Im really confused now!

It's the sugar content that is disgusting. That's what decides it for me

Sugar isn't a bad thing in a balanced diet.

My DC have own brand cheerios sometimes, they also have rice crispies. Sometimes I make my own muesli.

We are not big cereal eaters though and prefer yoghurt/fruit and toast for breakfast.

My dc love the kelloggs muddles.

Natural sugars - fine.
30% refined sugar in some of Nestles' offerings.

Cheeerios do have a lot of sugar, tesco own version has less and aldi own version even less I think. Rice crispie multigrain shape whatsits are not too bad, less than cheerios anyway. Ds has recently decided that Quaker Oats are nice, the oat crisp ones. Otherwise porridge is always good.
