Sadly our pennies and counter space won't stretch to a Kitchen Aid.
So can anyone recommend a good handblender - please?

Good question!

Sorry I'm no help, but want one too.

My mum has a Kenwood Chef - it's years old but brilliant. They're so expensive though, so I thought a hand blender would do instead for whisking up cakes.

I think it's a good idea to get one with a bit of oompf. Some of them look v cheap but a bit low on power.

I've got a Dualit but although it's prtty it's not great. The first time I used the whisk to do a batch of pancake batter most of it ended up on the floor, walls, window, cupboards and me. Tis very powerful. Debenhams have a half price offer, but I can't remember the make. It was stainless steel and reduced to £20.

Oh dear that's my 'power' theory out the window then (along with the mixture by the sounds of it!)

Actually quite fancied a Dualit - my sis got one recently and is a fan may need to do a bit more research.

Maybe I'm just a hand mixing loser then!
