Very quick Q: I want to pipe icing onto some biscuits. In my cupboard I have normal icing suage and fondant icing sugar: which would be better, please?

normal I think, as far as I can gather, fondant icing sugar is for making fondant icing out of

boogeek · 25/03/2009 20:19

Yeah, but I quite want it to set hard...
Tricky!

Bit of a cheat - but I use these little tubes of icing.

boogeek · 25/03/2009 21:06

yeah I've got some of them but they are hard to manage (I am very clumsy). I now have some really funky icing bottles that make it very easy. If you put the right stuff in! I used the fondant one in the end and it looks ok so far.

how do those icing bottles work? do you push down on the top as you're writing?

boogeek · 26/03/2009 09:27

you just kind of squeeze them and the concertina bits fold up. They are fantastic. Look at my biscuits [http://blipfoto.com/view.php?id=272570&month=3&year=2009 here]] - not bad given how cack-handed I am in general!

See? Cack-handed.

They're sweet! I might invest in some of those at some point. Got to be better than my dodgy attempts with a piping bag
