How do I feed up dd without letting ds eat more???

not having any scales in our house, i live in blissful ignorance of what everybody weighs.

however, at a friends house all the dcs hopped gleefully on.

dd1 weighs nothing. she has put on half a stone in 3 years. she is 7. i was horrified.

she has always been of the tall and lean build and eats probably a bit less than average.

should i feed her up?

while ds's weight is absolutely fine he puts on weight very easily and has been very fat in the past. hence i do not want him to start eating more!

or should i just ignore the scales altogether and carry on regardless?

I would carry on regardless as long as they are both healthy.

I would say make sure there is always plenty of healthy food available and let them get on with it. Trying to adjust their diets to feed one child more than the other is likely to set up one or both with potential eating disorders (oh and lingering anxieties aboutwhich one of them is loved more... No pressure!)
