Will pound cake rise in a round cake pan..??

I'm baking a birthday cake for my friend's birthday and I would like to bake this in 9 inch and 6 inch deep cake pan to make tiered cake. In the original recipe, it says to use 10 inch bundt pan or tube pan so I'm a bit worried that if I used round pan, it might not rise as I would like it to. Anybody experience this?

I can't see why not. I rarely use the tins recommended in recipes, simply because I have a limited selection.

So long as it cooks ok I would think it'd be fine. But I'm not promising because I've never made one myself or heard of it before!

I'd bake it at a lower temperature and for longer. If it's in a larger pan it'll take longer, and at a higher temperature might burn on top. Good luck though!

Isn't pound cake where all the ingredients weigh a pound each? wikipedia
