I'm a non-fish eater but out of guilt have bought some salmon to make a pasta sauce for my family. I've just looked at it and it has skin on. Do I cook it with the skin on and then try to get it off or do I have to skin it now?

Cook it with the skin on. You can eat the skin, it's tasty. You don't have to skin fish.

Cook it with the skin on and then remove it. It's easier to get it off. I know you can eat it but the thought makes me feel ill

cook it with the skin on
the skin will fall off easily once cooked but as 'tits says you can eat the skin
tis very nice

Really? Can eat it with the skin on? I was hoping to disguise its generally 'fishyness' by pretending it was a new form of orange ham or something...

roffle @ 'orange ham'

If you're making pasta sauce, I'd take the skin off. If you want to leave it on, rather bake or fry it whole.

procrastinatingparent · 04/03/2009 17:59

About to skin it now ...

The little procrastinators did their usual frothing at the mouth at having to try something new ... but DH liked it.
