I never go on there, but some of my friends have this book and love it. Any good or do you have an alternative? I need inspiration for family meals!

I've ordered "Good Food" The Family Meal Planner: Thrifty Recipes and 7-day Meal Plans to Help You Save Time and Money from Amazon - it's coming out soon - and have always been impressed with the other Good Food Mag books.

One of my best friends (who also lives next door to me) has this book, she says its great.

(have tried to persuade her to come over here, but she won't be moved!!)

PrincessButtercup · 01/03/2009 21:08

The Good Food magazine 101 recipes for kids is better imo and I am addicted to buying cookery books....

skimty - me too and considering you can get such a wealth of recipes online these days I don't know why

its just not the same though is it?!?!

Tasty toast, page 82 (embarassingly unoriginal and unexciting). Might I add, in my defence, that it got in there by mistake. I was browsing for recipes for my fussy toddler and thought I'd add one of my own. Little did I know that I'd win a prize and have my netmums affair outed and recorded for posterity .

haven't tried Princess Buttercup's toast recipe, but probably wouldn't recommend the book unless you really don't know how to boil an egg. Nothing in it that wouldn't be in a very basic cookbook. Oh, and no pictures.
