Any recommendations for websites that do those ready prepared meals that get delivered to someone's home?

My lovely friend of 30 years has breast cancer and is having a mastectomy . I wanted to organise for some of those ready prepared meals to be sent so she and her dh don't have to worry about cooking after she's had her op.

I've found Chef on Board online. Can anyone recommend any others?

I think there's one called Wiltshire Farm Foods but not idea what they're like...

So sorry for your friend.

I've used www.cookfood.net recently for a friend who'd had a baby.

Thanks, I will have a look at them. Have they said what the food is like?

Cook (port&Lemon's link) is lovely - we have a shop near us and I've bought lots of things. Am expecting my 3rd baby in a few weeks time so will be stocking up my freezer.

Used Wiltshire Farm Foods for my DF and they were great - he loved them and the chap delivering them put them into the freezer for him - rotating so that older ones at front for him.

They are very traditional meals - not gourmet cuisine - but it depends what you like.

Good luck

I can second (third?) cook, they're brilliant. My mum even uses them for parties when she doesn't have time to cook.

Thank you! I ended up going with Cook as I wanted to get it organised last night. She had her op yesterday. Good to hear some recommendations.

Hope your friend is okay - I think that gifts like your's are lovely, practical to ease the burden. Good on you
