Healthy Pudding ideas for a fussy 18month old.......

DD has gone off yougharts at the moment, and does not eat fruit other than bnana sometimes. So I usually give her banana chopped up in youghart but she is not eating much of that at the moment.

Any ideas welcome.

norks - are flapjacks quite healthy? I have been thinking about making some.

I have made home made rice pudding before which I love so I ate the whole thing as dd would not eat it.

also will not eat jelly

it seems dd is happy to eat my yougharts but not her fromage frais. Do you think these are ok for a 18month old? the fat free ones?

oats, fruit, butter and sugar ok not that healthy but not awful. as a once a week treat i think they are great

newlysinglemummy · 30/01/2009 20:12

can you use normal sugar? or is it brown sugar? I want to use all the ingredients in mycupboard at the moment.

My two boys love vanilla ice cream in a cornet as a treat sometimes. Also love me to pop my own pop corn which i think is quite healthy as long as you don't add sugar or salt.

newlysinglemummy · 30/01/2009 20:19

good idea might tr pop corn as i dont think there is anything too bad in that.

There are loads of flapjack recipes in the recipe section on here.
Another thought home made icelollies with 100% fruit juice

newlysinglemummy · 30/01/2009 22:10

i might give that a try as she is teething and i dont want to give her calpole anymore as she keeps asking for it.

what do you do just blend fruits then freeze?

OP posts:
norksinmywaistband · 30/01/2009 22:15

Yes you can blend up fruits and freeze or as I do but exotic fresh squeezed juice from the supermarket and the just pour into moulds.

Mine sometimes even have one after breakfast it is only fruit juice after all

newlysinglemummy · 30/01/2009 22:25

the fresh squeezed juice from the supermarket sounds like a better idea...
