Fairy cakes - food processor or mixing bowl?

I want to make fairy cakes for my ds's 1st birthday party (mainly for the adults!) and Nigella says I can use a food processor - but will they come out as well as if you mix it all separately in a bowl?

Also, not sure exactly what she means to use. I don't have one of those magimix things, just a standard food processor, or an electric whisk. I'm not sure which attachment I would use in the food processor IYSWIM.

Thanks, fellow domestic goddesses

I do Nigella's recipe in a food processor with the normal blade. They are fine.

i'd use your electric whisk then.

Nigella's recipe works find in a food processor with normal blade as long as the butter is properly soft. Go for it.

Food processor cakes tend to come out more liquidy than electric-whisked ones and I tend to find that they are less aerated.

I cream together the fat and sugar, then sort of through everything else in and ope for the best, they turn out just fine, cook them every week with DD - so simple and yummy (obviously covered in butter icing )

... domestic goddess i wish
