I usually sprinkle pork seasoning over them then either fry or grill over/under low heat turning periodically until ready.

As long as you don't have the heat too high they should be tender but tasty

You've got me wanting them for tea now

got no pork seasoning, what the chuff is that?

I bung them in the oven with olive oil and a bit of white wine/cider and basically bake them for about 3-40 mins til they are done - sometimes i put some apple quarters and a bit of sage in there as well...

It is a premixed concoxtion(sp?) of onion, coriander seeds, pepper, bay leaves, parsley, apple and red peppers.

It enhances the flavour of the pork

But if you don't have anything like that a little salt and pepper works well too, it is more the slow cooking at a low heat that will make them taste better

giantkatestacks · 17/01/2009 14:46

that should say 30-40 mins obv...[sigh] and if you oven cook them you can bung some roasted veg or potato wedges in at the same time and then spend more time on here while they're cooking...

deanychip · 17/01/2009 14:51

hmm, slow and hot.....just like dh

Last Sat night I cooked a lovely meal for me and hubby with these

  1. Fried them to get colour
  2. Wrapped in foil with some apple quarters
  3. In rying pan put a splash of white wine and gathered all the juices from pork, let this reduce down to half
  4. put in some single cream
  5. Took pork out of oven on plate and let rest for 10mins
  6. Poured juices from pork into pan and again let reduce slightly.
  7. Pour over pork, served with Daphonnaise pots, and roasted carrots, red onion and corgettes

Voila!!!

Either cook them quickly and briefly - griddled or fried for about 2-3 minutes per side (just enough to make sure that they're cooked through) or long and slow.

If long and slow, use liquid as others have suggested. Apple juice, cider, white wine all work well with pork.

If quick and brief, marinade them with the juice of a lemon, some olive oil, oregano and black pepper for about 30 minutes before you cook them. Once they're out of the frying pan/off the griddle, salt them and leave for about 5 minutes, covered in foil, before you serve them.
