Smoothies

I still have a pineapple to use up and thought about making a smoothy (without milk - is this still called a smoothy?!). I also have mango, blueberries, passion fruit and a ton of satsumas. Do you think these would mix well and could I freeze it once blended?

You might need some water or juice or something to loosen it up. You can't use milk, obviously, the satsumas (and maybe the pineapple?) would curdle it.

I think it would be tasty, yes, but too thick without juice.

Ah, yes would add some water or oj. Do you think it'd be ok to freeze? I have so much fruit that I don't think ds and I will be able to go through it all before it goes off.

It should be ok to freeze. Other ways you could freeze it:

  • make ice lollies (very tasty)
  • make ice cubes, and use them to liven up normal water

Actually, it might be tastier with a bit of banana or pear or something else quite mild and sweet. White grape juice?

Good idea with lollies, I have about 5 of those lolly making kits! I haven't got any bananas or pears and bring myself to go and buy anything else until I've used this lot up first!! Also, getting to the supermarket involves asking my aunt next door to take me and I can't face it today!!

I'd mostly make lollies then, you don't need to add much water or juice for that, and if they're a bit chunky, that's fine!
