Can I chop apple in a blender rather than tediously grating it?

no, just a scarily feirce vitamix blender.
Would it make any difference to the cake if the apple was kinda pulverised rather than grated?

Pulverised might mean the cake it more moist, grated you would have the odd piece which will give the texture. Why not just chop it in thin slices?

I'm having a bad-hand day hence not being able to grate and chop. But have 4 million apples on the verge of going yucky.
