signed.

snafu · 20/03/2005 16:08

I used to think he was a mockney buffoon - now I think he's a bloody hero. Jamie, you get my vote.

Nemo1977 · 20/03/2005 16:08

go jamie..lol

WideWebWitch · 20/03/2005 16:09

A knighthood at the very bloody least. I really, really admire him.

Freckle · 20/03/2005 16:18

Another admirer here. Deserves a huge amount of respect. Just hope he is really listened to, rather than a token effort by those that should have known better anyway.

wobblyknicks · 20/03/2005 16:19

An MP definitely, but not PM, Jools suffers enough!!!

gingerbear · 20/03/2005 16:21

agree with WK.

ZoeB · 20/03/2005 16:21

Would get my vote !!! marvelous man.

treacletart · 20/03/2005 16:22

I'm thinking of putting a large amount of money on him getting a knighthood before his 40th.

HUNKERMUNKER · 20/03/2005 16:23

Yep

ZoeB · 20/03/2005 16:25

Yes I agree and how about Richard Branson for Chancellor. Bob Geldolf could be in this new cabinet as well. Might get in Fern Britton for her down to earth female approach. Do you think theres any chance of getting together a new party before May 5?

JoolsToo · 20/03/2005 16:55

haven't heard any lies from him - so yep another vote here

SoupDragon · 20/03/2005 16:56

Dear god no. He's a chef, he knows about food.

JoolsToo · 20/03/2005 16:57

so what? Blair is a tw*t he knows about spin

FIMAC1 · 20/03/2005 17:15

He is a star

Lets hope the Government actually does bring about change - they are unveiling a 'Childrens Manifesto' tomorrow (Monday) They want Jamie to be an advisor - he has not agreed as yet though

Look forward to reading it - lets hope we are not all disappointed

Heathcliffscathy · 20/03/2005 17:27

joolstoo

certainly deserves big big recognition for highlighting awful state of school food...OBE at the very least

chipmonkey · 20/03/2005 18:20

Thought he gave poor old Jools a hard time about the out-of-season veg though. wouldn't like my dh to do that. Mind you, my dh mightn't know rhubarb from a potato!

treacletart · 20/03/2005 18:24

I think he's got an MBE already

paolosgirl · 21/03/2005 12:38

Good on you Jamie...

And I'm quite sure Blair hasn't promised us he'll improve schoolmeals just because there's an election coming up. I'm sure he really, really means it, and I'm sure he really really cares that we spend 3 times as much feeding prisoners in this country than we do on school meals.

MamaMaiasaura · 21/03/2005 13:14

He's got my vote.. would he be a nakey PM?

OldieMum · 21/03/2005 13:30

He has refused to get taken on as a Govt. adviser until the Govt agrees to put up money for improving school meals. I think this is the right stance to take.

ThomCat · 21/03/2005 13:40

Not up for him as PM, but agree he is a star and feel I have a lot to thank him for. I'm so pleased he's made the problem so news worthy and bought it to everyones attention, I just hope real changes are made, soon and that 37ish pence per meal and chips with everything and cheap meat all become a thing of the past in our kids schools. Well done Jamie.

MandM · 21/03/2005 13:52

He's done a great job so far, just hope he can get the govt. to take it all the way. Not sure I could stand listening to that phoney accent on the TV and radio everyday if he became PM though!
