Salt Content In foods - eg breadmaker bread

Am a bit confused re giving ds no salt - sorry if this seems s dim question have been giving my ds wholemeal toast made from breadmaker but wondering whether he can have it as just realised that it has got salt in it? what does everyone else do?

it has a lot less salt than bought bread - this is one reason we got a breadmaker. Plus we use half the amount it says on the recipe. They do need some salt, but the problem with processed foods with salt added is that you very quickly get to too much.

have a look on www.goodies.co.uk for baby organix web site. It explains how much salt a baby should have. I think as long as the sodium content is less than 0.5mg per 100g then its ok.
I got the catalogue last night and it had a card for your wallet listing the Dirty Dozen ingredients that a baby/kid should avoid.
