Can I use greasproof paper to line my Christmas cake tin??

Recipe also says tie brown paper on the outside of the tin for extra protection - can I use greaseproof for this too??

no idea, but for some reason i really like the words greaseproof, silicone and parchment all together like that.
it's like a mantra.

no help to you i know.
i just like the words.

I've done an urgent google, been to my corner shop and ended up using just greasproof on the inside and brown paper on the outside.

Fingers crossed!!!
