HELP! Can you make a cheese sauce from cheese triangles?

Ok - forgot to get cheese but have mountains of laughing cow cheese triangles - can I make a cheese sauce from these?

you could try- not sure what it would be like. if you've nothing else id be tempted to have a go. maybe add a dash of milk? worried it might be rather rubbery when heated?

i guess you could add them to a cheese sauce but it wouldn't be awfully cheesy - like cheese triangles I guess! A little bit of mild mustard peps up a white sauce if you haven't got much cheese.

I think you can melt them, so should be alright. But I wouldn't make a roux and then add them as with e.g. cheddar.

Rather I would melt them on a very very low heat and add drops of milk.

Or if you need it to go with e.g. pasta is probably better just to stir them through the pasta when it is done as that would melt it (low melting point I think).

I'd do an ordinary white sauce then add said triangles.

No....I would go and get cheese tbh

they don't melt that well to make a sauce, have tried melting in the microwave to make dip for tortillas, was rather thick and solidified quickly. what's the use of the sauce?

Im making a pasta sauce - I have attempted to add them in with a normal sauce recipe - not looking to good at the mo.

I think they will be awful.

Well I have made the sauce and its actually not bad. I added garlic and basil becuase otherwise as HangingBaubles said it wasnt very cheesy. DD2 has eaten it all but dd1 is refusing to touch it - but then she is 4 and refusing to eat anything apart from chicken nuggets and sweets!
