Fruit and veg boxes are they worth it?

I picked up a leaftlet from our local farmers market which comes to town once a month. They look really good, £13.00 for a mixed fruit and veg box, or £9.95 for a basic one, and various more.

We spend a fortune on fruit and veg, DD loves it all, so I was thinking of getting a weekly £13.00 one delivered which would almost half our cost of fruit and veg a week.

The things I am wondering about is;
Does it all get used so no waste.
Would it be better for me to get a larger box every fortnight.
Are they as fresh as they say?

i think they are nice but definitely a luxury. i go to a fruit and veg shop and get loads more for a tenner, and it is stuff i want, not gritty lettuce and a beetroot.

Another Riverford (Norton) fan. We started off with A&C but Riverford quality is much better (plus you get more).
Also if you dont like certain veg inform your local distributor and they will refund for that product. We dont eat brussels sprouts or aubergines and they normally take them out and do a part refund.

Meat (especially the lamb) is fantastic bt pricey

i think the taste of the fruit and beg is better than any other we've tried - even my mum without knowing said the veg was like the stuff she had as a kid and asked where we got it

the meat boxes are great quality from riverford - you freeze it and it lasts ages
eggs and milk good too

too much kale for my liking but even taking that out the box is good value and delivery is included so saves driving/carrying etc

i get then every other week not every week and ocado the week between for heavy stuff
