Times is hard in the tattooed household, and i've managed to get the food shopping down to £55 per week, inc nappies. But lord i am bored.

We're having 'freezer tea' 3 times a week (fish fingers, oven chips, beans etc) Once a week it's home made curry and rice, once a week bolognaise on Sundays a roast dinner. Any ideas for something different that will suit a toddler awell?

I seem to always be cooking the same things Jazzed up the last curry with a bag of spinach, but i'm at a loss for new dieas really.

Pendulum, I did the smokeed haddock chowder for dinner yesterday, it was delish, DD loves it and we are having leftovers for lunch. My dad is coming for his lunch as fish chowder is his fave.

Thanks.

I've become evangelical about stock.

All bones, peelings, aged veg etc get boiled until really dead and then either frozen or turned into soup.

Tis really really easy.

Something for nothing

I make soup a couple of times a week - was lentil and bacon today for lunch.
Favourite easy pasta sauce - olive oil, lots of parsley, crushed garlic in pan, lightly cook then add drained tuna. On cooked pasta add a little butter and parmesan, add tuna then a squeeze of lemon.
This week we're having home made salmon fishcakes (using rest of parsley), lasagne, pork fillet stir fry (lots of cheap peppers in asda bargain bag), veg chilli - cheap tins of beans from Lidl - and Madhur Jaffrey's chicken tikka masala.
I enjoy cooking but hate deciding what to eat so love food threads on here.
