BARBIE DOLL CAKE -HELP PLEASE!

I want to make my DD a Barbie doll cake as I thought this would be relatively easy but am getting a bit confused. I have just made a Delia sponge mix which is cooking in the oven which I put in my 2 litre Pyrex bowl. However it only comes up to a third of the bowl's height. So, am I meant to triple all the ingredients (9 eggs etc)?

Also, I then intend to slice it in half, put some butter icing in, then put it together, stick Barbie in and then put butter icing all over the dress part. Is this how I am meant to do it or does anyone have an actual recipe/ instructions for doing it properly.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Yes- I remember it only coming up to her fanjo

There were two ways out of it- stand the whole thing on a box, push barbie's legs the whole way through and decorate accordingly...

Or, get some of that ready roll bright coloured icing, and those little squeezy tubes of decorating icing, and make her an out fit from it- ie - roll the ready mixed into a a very long , high skirt and bodice, which you can then decorate with ric rac style squirty icing.

The ones in the books are just half a barbie I think.....

Hope this helps, and it goes ok!

I'm going to snap the legs off Barbie in the few weeks and stuff her body into a cake. Depending on how much it rises, she may appear to be sat down.

I might buy this skirt tin but am wondering if a pudding basin would do the job just as well?

And intend to use roll out icing to hide the mess as a flowing gown.

Kim from Frodsham demonstrates

HA! She makes two cakes!
Yes ohfor- pudding basin is actually rather good.

Kim likes her frills doesn't she? My DD is turning 2 so I think I will just do butter icing and stick sweets on it. I'm sure she won't care about the lack of frills!
All I want is a recipe as the one that I made ended up in the oven for 45 mins and was completely soggy in the middle. Need to perfect it by next week!
