I have a bonsai cabbage.

DH and I are cabbages

Shred cabbage, fry diced bacon till fat runs, add shredded cabbage, stir fry for a minute. Add teeeeny bit of water and clamp on lid for NO MORE than 2-3 mins. Uncover and stir through small knob of butter and some ground black pepper. EAT.

Remove caterpillars carefully. Discard cabbage. Wait some time for funny brownish sticky stage and then ooooh at the lovely butterflies. Fry lightly (no oil) and serve with a gentle Chablis.

Chop cabbage into 1cm wide strips. Stuff into pan. Add a few tbsp of water and heat.

Go to asda buy ready chopped cabbage in bag ..bung in microwave ..job done

My mum used to fry it too, only because no one would eat it first time round.
