notice all the winter warmers!!!

pushchair · 05/09/2008 18:56

I had sainsbuty's feed your family for a fiver salmon risotto and my children sat there and moaned. So they have had fresh air and will top up on warm milk at bedtime. The usual routine!

ChippyMinton · 05/09/2008 18:59

Lamb chops, baked spuds, yorkshire pudding & stuffing.

muggglewump · 05/09/2008 19:05

Bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese and salad on the side.
It's not as posh as it sounds though, everything except the bagels were Asda Smartprice.
Bloody delicious though!

Furball · 05/09/2008 19:10

Just remembered, goodness me that came around quickly.

Nappyzoneneedssleep · 05/09/2008 19:14

Ours started of intending to be spag bol but after i had browned the mince realised i had no dolmio (deomestic god alert!) or jars of tomato so i used other jars to turn it into lasagne but then realised only 4 sheets of lasagne left so stuffed some old canneloni tubes instead and layed the lasagne sheets on em - it was a complete Friday botch job! Jacket potato were perfect though

Mercy · 05/09/2008 19:14

lilolilmanchester · 07/09/2008 21:14

Had visitors. Did roast turkey and all the trimmings (basically Christmas dinner without the crackers) Followed by steamed jam pudding & steamed apple pudding served with cream & custard. Cheese & biscuits. Chocolates. And far too much wine.

KarisTiasMum · 07/09/2008 21:27

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... xmas dinner! sounds delicious!

OP posts:
lilolilmanchester · 07/09/2008 22:08

Wanted to do Christmas Pud too but visitors don't like it. It was nice, if I say so myself - why keep turkey just for Christmas? And even with all the trimmings, a lot simpler than lots of other meals.
