Anyone noticed products getting smaller but still costing the same?

I am not particularly a fan of Dairylea but this made me cross. It seems the manufacturers think we won't notice, otherwise they would just put the price up.

Any other examples?

Sliced bread slices are smaller now (they fit in our toaster sideways where they didn't used to) but the loaf weight is still 800g, & it doesn't look any longer either.

No idea how that works out!

When I read this thread title I just knew you were talking about Dairylea!

i've decided it's a rip off.

my ss works for tesco distributors. did you know that tesco own brand is the same company as one of the main companies. cant remember which. its either lenor of comfort.

but miles cheaper. if you smell them you find out which ones the same.

But it is sneaky, isn't it? We all know prices have to go up, but products that get smaller are deceptive.
Wendyweber, have you weighed the loaf to see if it really is 800g?
I would boycott Dairylea if I didn't already not buy it because it's a rubbish product(IYSWIM).
