OP- yes, it sounds a decent mix.

I love veggie bacon (I think it's vegan actually) lettuce and tomato.

Agree about hummus and also don't like cold egg.

Sounds lovely much cheaper to make your own. Prepacked sandwhiches taste like pap because theyre bulked out with tons of mayo.

I also hate tomatoes in sandwiches 😂
Vegan bacon is good, but would work out expensive.

24 people so you want 36 sandwiches - 72 slices of bread.

Buttering 72 slices of bread @5 seconds per slice (make sure butter is spreadable) = 6 minutes.

Spread chutney on 12 of the slices and add pre-sliced cheddar - 5 minutes

Spread houmous on 12 of the slices and add slices of cucumber - 5 minutes

Make egg mayo (set the eggs off to boil when you are buttering the bread, they'll be ready by the time you are doing the cheese sarnies and they can cool in cold water while you make the houmous sarnies) and spread that on 12 slices - 10 minutes as shelling the eggs is a faff.

5 mins to cut into triangles and plate up.

Total about half an hour.

Only one of those is vegan…

These options are 2x vegetarian, 1x vegan and 1x fish

I buy the basic sandwiches from Waitrose and cut into smaller triangles. They do cheese, tuna, ham, egg mayo, and probably a vegan one. It’s pretty cheap as each box is £1.80 ish. Not worth doing a meal deal on it, but extra cheap. If you have Asda, Sainsbury’s or Tesco, you can also use rewards/nectar/clubcard points to reduce the cost.

if time is on your side, do them by hand, it’s v cheap.

Yeah, vegetarians don’t eat fish… and vegans will only have the hummus option. You’d also need to remember to use a vegan margarine and not butter for any vegan option.
