Do you use cream for everyday cooking?

Just a random thought I had while looking for a recipe for salmon and came across “marry me salmon” which has cream to make the sauce. I don’t like to add a lot of cream to sauce dishes, to pasta dishes or curries for example, as I think it would be too fatty and “heavy to digest”. Is it just me?
I might do something like add flour and milk to thicken it instead but obviously that’s not suitable for all recipes.
Do people eat cream heavy dishes as everyday food?

Definitely, it makes for a very satisfying meal. You don't need gallons though.

Go through about a pint of double cream a week in our house 😆 yes, it’s used in at least 2 dishes a week, sometimes on a pudding and DH and I use the leftovers in our coffee

Yes, but not daily. I have an underweight child so we do usually have cream in the house.

Also, unless you're using light creme fraiche it's the same fat content as whipping cream. Traditional creme fraiche is 40% fat.

Only in home-made quiches. I think it's a big upgrade on milk.

There is one particular pasta dish I do with cream, but beyond that I use it very rarely - I’d be more likely to use a dallop of Greek yogurt or cream cheese.
