What food do you always have in

I regularly find my self staring at the fridge with no idea what I want to eat. I meal plan but don’t have a stable work/home routine that means I know what I’m doing every day in advance.

So what do you reach for on those occasions?

What food do you have in the fridge / cupboard / freezer that you rely on for a good meal as needed ie not just crisps 😂

last night I had cereal for dinner which was lush, but not nutritious!

Lots of the above. One thing I recommend is Red Thai curry paste (I have the large one in a 500g tub) and Parmesan. I was advised on good authority to keep Parmesan in the freezer and grate it from there. I usually have a couple of cooked meals in the fridge, as well as cooked portions for one eg chicken and salmon. Recently I’ve used some of those Merchant pouches eg lentils, and they’re good. Frozen cut up bananas for instant fake ice cream. Mixed seeds and nuts for topping things like yogurt. Yes, and Greek yogurt.

I always try to keep tortillas, eggs, cheese, onions, and a few fresh vegetables around because they can turn into a decent meal pretty quickly. I also like keeping beans in the cupboard since they’re easy to add to tacos, burritos, or just have with rice.
When I really don’t feel like cooking, I’ll usually go for tacos or a burrito instead. Tacomasa is one of the places I’ve enjoyed for that kind of easy meal, especially when I want something more filling than snacks. And honestly, cereal for dinner definitely has its place 😂
