yes you can.
My mother used to when we were kids

Yeah! Thanks. My Mum always used dripping in her chip pan, but we couldn't figure out if it was safe to use in a fryer.

Yes (but what a waste of beef dripping IMO!)

SueW · 29/06/2008 16:15

Here says heat to 120C

cocolepew · 29/06/2008 16:18

Thanks, but why would it be a waste, I was planning on letting it harden and using it again. I don't change the oil in the fyer ever time.

is it commerciallly prepared? if so then yes, if it's your own then you would need to render it first to get rid of alll the nubbly bits and dregs of the meat which would carbonise and be horrid.

I buy it from my butcher, nice a clean and in a tub.
Thanks for the replies.

I like it on toast. Or on my beef sarnies.
