Freezer meal prep ideas?

I’ve got a surgery coming up, and it’s going to be a struggle for a couple of months afterwards, I’m trying to think of good freezer food prep ideas for breakfast lunch and dinner to take the pressure off both me and dh (he already does more than his fair share in the house, plus he’s going to be having to drive me to various follow appts etc) and to make sure we still eat properly not just living off junk.
I’ve thought of soups and pasta dishes, but is there any go tos for the freezer people have tried and always turn out well?

I have chilli and also cottage pie that I batch cook and freeze.
be interesting to see what others make and freeze

Lasagne is a good one to prep and freeze in my opinion. I cook the bolognese/bechamel and assemble the lasagne but don’t cook it again until I’ve taken it out of the freezer to defrost. It feels like such a treat when you have it, having already put in all the effort previously!

I cooked a month worth of freezer meals for my DSD when she was working long hours once. I cooked
chilli and rice
curry and rice
cottage pies
sausages and mash
lasagne
stew and dumplings

you could also do just roast meats in gravy then put frozen veg and frozen Yorkshires with them

Post surgery you are often advised to have a high protein high veg diet.

Chili, cottage pie, red thai curry (i even freeze slice of lime to squeeze later, just take it out before microwving), curry, meatballs with sauce, meatloaf with mush and gravy, enchiladas, chinese like lemon chicken, grilled chicken quarters, byriany. Seperate portions of rice.
All freezes well and can be frozen in boz as proper ready meal

I slow cook a batch of mince and veg and then freeze it in portion bags. You can make so much with ready-cooked mince with a few tweaks - chili, cottage pie, spag bol, mince and dumplings...

I usually put in two packs of mince, red wine, sofrito, any veg I've got hanging around, stock pot, and leave it cooking overnight, then portion it up.

I wouldn’t worry about breakfast - cereal to toast will do, although my lot are very partial to a fake McMuffin at the weekend, you can keep the patties in the freezer.

lunch - sandwiches, toasties, ramen, gyoza etc wouldn’t worry about freezing.

main meals - chilli, curries, h/m sausage rolls, lasagne, bolognese, chicken stew, chicken pot pie filling, chicken enchilada filling, burrito filling…the list goes on! What do you usually eat and how big is your freezer?!

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spicy-falafels dd loves these and takes them to college cold (sometimes has them with cous cous instead). I make in batches and freeze.
Along with soups, I also make sandwiches to freeze. I'm disabled so knowing on my bad days there's things to pull out of freezer to eat helps.
Quick lunches when I'm having a better day are something on toast (egg, beans, tomatoes or mushrooms).
Freezer mains I make a big batch of chilli, curry, casserole, pasta sauces etc and freeze in portions. Shepherd's pie with lots of added veggies is good because you dont need to make any extras such as pasta or rice.
I buy prechopped onions and peppers which helps (means i doesn't take long to make a soup or stew).
A slow cooker and soup maker are great for making healthy meals when you cant put much effort in.

Our simple homemade falafels are so easy to make. Stuff them into warm pittas with salad, or serve with couscous and hummus for a budget-friendly lunch.

I am a roast potato snob, but you can make fairly decent ones by par boiling your potatoes, coating in duck fat/beef dripping/combo and freezing. I freeze them in a glass pyrex oven dish with lid and then pop them straight in the oven from frozen!

Chicken. & chorizo (or any other variation) enchilada also freeze well.

Delia's penne with leek and bacon pasta bake freezes fairly well before the oven stage.

Pulled pork or carnitas to throw in wraps/baps/baked potatoes.

Prep hunters chicken and freeze before the cooking stage.

Chicken pie (Tesco
Chicken, pancetta and mushroom pie is excellent) with or without pastry. Although I'd argue a pie is an easy option to pick up from a butcher for low effort.

Thank you everyone so much, lots of great ideas.

weve got two large chest freezer and pretty much open to anything food wise (although been in a massive rut lately with food just with the stress) and been falling into just quick pastas and junk stuff.

Not a lot to add to the ideas already listed but I want to recommend Souper Cubes - they are so handy for freezing meals because you can put them in the oven as well as dishwasher.

If you have the time take a look at lego meal prep on YouTube, the idea is you prep and freeze the starch, veg, and protein as seperate lego blocks and then mix and match for variety.
