Help for a novice juicers!

DH and I have got a simple juicer from Lidl.
We are a bit confused 🤔 on if we are doing it right.
We were doing it as we often buy expensive turmeric shots, ginger shots which are like £2 each but we have easy access to apples, fruit and veg, home grown and organic etc

So today for example I made a ginger shots: I added two apples, a lemon and a lightly peeled piece of ginger into the juicer with a bit of water. It was too ‘pulp’ like to drink so I sieved it and it was actually quite nice.

I then later made an apple and kiwi juice, two apples unpeeled and chopped and two insides from two kiwis and topped up with water but again I felt I needed to sieve it as it was pulpy.

Are you supposed to be sieving it ?? it takes like 2 minutes to cut it up, and one minute pulp it and 20 minutes to sieve it into a jug.

Do we need to invest it a better juicer that gets rid of the pulp? Do we need to get over the fibrous taste and look of it and drink it before sieving? Is there a quicker way to sieve it?
the pot provided with the cheap Lidl juicer doesn’t seem to hold very much at all 8 oz.

Is there a good website for starter receipts?

so far big thumbs up for the sieved versions!

any advice? Do juicing newbies?

That doesn't sound like a juicer, more like a blender of some sort. A juicer usually just produces juice and all the fibrous stuff goes into different container. Have you a pic of it?

I agree, that sounds like more of a blender. I got a cheap juicer from Lidl years ago and it separates the pulp out to make perfect juice.

Hummm I think you are right and it’s a blender. Oh flipping heck I will look for a juicer then !

Yes, but you can get them cheaper than that. You just need one that separates juice from pulp.
