I have a Lakeland model and the instructions say UHT milk is better as you don't need to heat it first. But I'd prefer to use fresh as it's a lot cheaper and part of my reasoning to start is the cost saving (I didn't buy the yoghurt maker, it was a gift years ago).
If you use fresh milk, does it work well by heating/cooling first? How much runnier is it by using semi-skimmed as we don't normally use whole milk?
