Dinnertime ideas (SEN kids safe)

Im running ot of ideas of what to feed my kids. DS is 4 and DD 2. They love the food I make them but honestly im getting bored of eating the same meals all the time lol. Whenever I look for ideas online theyre really complex or dont fit in with what my kids like, and I struggle to think of ways to modify them so that they will enjoy them.

We dont eat pasta as me and my kids dont like it at all. Its important each meal contains meat due to our diet. Here's some meals we eat regulary:

  1. Steak on toasted sourdough with melted cheese and balsamic vinegar glaze
  2. Steak noodles made with spring onions and garlic
  3. Bacon and cheese pastry turnovers
  4. Steak and: jasmine rice, with different sauces, or chips, or grilled aspargus
  5. Beef or chicken tacos
  6. Beef burritos
  7. Chicken fajitas
  8. Pizza (but Im really not keen on it)

We do a few other things but meh, just feel like mixing it up a bit.

I love curry but my daughter has eczema and certain things trigger it - spices being one of them (also too much wheat and gluten). She absolutely cannot eat curry, curry sauce, etc.

I guess im just being lazy and asking everyone to comment what meals they make for themselves, their kids, etc. Can be anything just hope something makes me think oooh yea id love to try that.

why does it have to contain meat?

chicken tray bake

stir fried rice

cauliflower cheese

toad in the hole

jacket potatoes with beans and grated cheese

salmon teriyaki (mild) noodles

Chicken noodle soup (home made batch cook)

leek and potato soup (home made batch cook)

smoked haddock with a fried egg and crusty bread (delicious my kids love it)

slow cooked gammon with potatoes and peas

fish pie (a Sunday recipe - home made and hard worn to make plus, it’s expensive but I use basa fillets to bulk up the dish)

Well, yours are already eating better than my DCs!

How about:

Stir fries - sauce can be on the side, any meat you like (we sometimes have salmon as well, or prawns, though I tend to bake the salmon and then break up and stir through). Noodles or rice.

Cottage or shepherd’s pie.

Would you eat a chicken or steak pie with pastry, maybe with mash and veg on the side? Something like chicken and ham, or chicken and leek?

Sausages and mash? Mine would live on this, with cheese and beans.

Jacket potatoes with sausages/meat of choice or just cheese and beans?

Will they eat fish?

If you like steak and your dc are fine with rice, try stroganoff
Enchiladas
Chicken gyros
Pork and apple burgers
Ham and cheese omelettes
Chicken parmigiana
Teriyaki pork and noodles
Satay chicken with peanut sauce
Sausage hot pot

Another one questioning the need for meat at every meal, not criticising it, I would just like to understand the rationale.
Does the meat need to be ‘the main event’ or could it be used as a flavouring. For example leek and pancetta risotto, or a fritata with roasted peppers and chorizo?
Sausage casserole
Cornish pasties
honey and mustard chicken
enchaladas
Pork tenderloin casseroled with shallots, apple and cider.
chicken kiev
chicken stuffed with Boursin wrapped in bacon
