Fancy tea as a gift

We are going to stay with friends for a few days.
i am taking various things with us as gifts/contribution, mostly irrelevant to this thread so won’t bore you!

She loves coffee so I picked up some ground coffee that I love from a little independent cafe. He prefers tea. We always just have Yorkshire tea, I would like to take some better than everyday tea for him.
I’d appreciate tea recommendations from those in the know! Ideally that can be bought in store to avoid postage coasts, but if there is a clear winner that’s online only then so be it.

Thanks

See my user name!
I'd say look at Bird and Blend, ( high street and online) so many varieties in tea bags or loose leaf form, you can filter choices by black tea/ rooibos/ herbal tea etc.The packaging is nice too.
I always appreciate a gift from there.

I came on to say bird and blend, lovely teas 😍

Fortnum & Mason tea is good and beautiful packaging, maybe add some of the Cocolossus biscuits too?

If your female friend loves coffee she might not love a gift of it already ground. Could you go back and buy some beans instead? (Something of single origin - maybe Ethiopian or Indonesian - rather than any blend.)

For tea, if you want fancy but also highly regarded, look here:

As you’ll see, it’s all produced in association with Postcard Teas - which is the only other place I would recommend. (Particularly if you want larger amounts.)

Tea

Carefully selected teas from small tea growers, made in collaboration with Tim d’Offay of Postcard Teas. Tim is one of the leading tea collectors and makers in the world; Lyn has been working with Tim for over 20 years. Tea is Lyn’s passion and delight...

Again Bird and Blend or Imperial Teas of Lincoln.

I also suggest Bird and Blend. My friend bought me some gorgeous chocolate tea bags

Thank you, I’d not heard of Bird and Blend before so glad I asked!
The coffee lover uses ready ground coffee usually, not sure she has a coffee grinder so will take ground this time but will find out while there if she has a grinder.
Thanks all

I'm a woman of clearly simple tastes but I'm not into all the fancy flavoured teas.

I like brew tea co and have their caffeinated english breakfast tea and also their decaf tea. I prefer loose leaf, in which case you might need a strainer or loose leaf pot. But they also sell bags. Which I think takes away the specialness, but that's by the by.

Mariage Freres do lovely tins of tea. DH's mum likes tea and we get her one of those in her stocking. The tea I've tried is lovely.

Teapigs and they do a really nice personalised box with a selection of three you can choose.
