i've been religiously home cooking my ds1 organic balanced meals for 6 months now. i'm now back at work and am despeartly trying to continue doing this, but just dont have the time. one big cook up used to last him all week, now he eats so much, i cant keep up!
wondering whether there are any companies that anyone can recommend that sell quality organic baby foods. (not the heinz organic jars!)

DS likes Plum Baby food pots, but is getting a bit big for them now, at nearly 10 months - I have to mix them with extra chopped veg etc, to give him something to chew. I still use them but mainly when they are on offer at Boots as they are a bit pricey. Nice though, if your baby is the right age.

How old is he? If he has been weaned for 6 months, isn't he close to eating normal adult food cut up into small pieces? It sounds as though you have been making a huge effort, but just wanted to point out that the end is probably in sight re: preparing separate food.

ds has just turned 1. he now goes to a childminder during the day & i like to send his lunch with him (neuortic i know, but just want the best for my little man!). for dinenr he tends to have a little of whatever we have, if i've been organised enough to prepare it in advance (rarely)! will check out the websites...

I used to buy Hipp Organic baby food as standbys. There was one meal that dd liked so much she had it once a month until she was about 3!

Mercy · 13/06/2008 20:53

Just noticed that your ds is almost 1.

Surely he can have bits of ham, bread, rice cake, carrot etc.

Does your childminder not provide lunch? Even if it's not organic?

lizziemun · 13/06/2008 21:19

As he nearly 1 can't he eat what you eat.

mogs0 · 15/06/2008 18:40

Just looked at the site. Recipes look good but, my goodness, what a price!!

ruddynorah · 15/06/2008 18:44

what about saving some of the previous night's dinner and sending that to be reheated? or, if he's eating dinner with you then how about just sending him with a decent sandwich, some veg sticks, fruit and a yoghurt? no need for a big fuss. it is just one meal you send in?

Hey Overmydeadbody does this as a business, do a search for her and organic baby food!!

greenday · 15/06/2008 18:56

Do we search overmydeadbody on google? How can we tell its from her?

I use Plum and Ella's Organic - I think they're great. You can get it from Ocado.

Carmenere · 15/06/2008 19:22

this is a link to her website. I have no idea where you are but just maybe she could help you out. She is a great mner, an amazing cook and deserves support
